Create More Time

Time is our most valuable, non-renewable resource and we rarely feel like we have enough of it.

Below are some ways you can create more time in your life WITHOUT waking up earlier;

  • Say “No” More Often

    • If you feel anything less than “hell yeah!” about something, say no.

    • Creates rules for yourself ahead of time (ex. I never accept meetings outside of my work hours).

  • Get Good at Planning

    • Set aside one hour on Monday morning to plan/schedule everything for the week— then, honor it.

  • Prune Your Schedule

  • Buy Time

    • Pay for products or services that free up your time if you can (ex. Hiring a cleaning service or landscape company).

  • Spend Less Time in Your Head

    • Don’t second guess your decisions to do any of the “time and energy giving” acts above.

Question: How much time and energy would you gain if you never second guessed yourself or your decisions?

Action: Dedicate 1hr on Monday morning to plan out your week.

  • Create a to-do list (be sure to include non-work activities)

  • (Actually) Schedule the items in your calendar

  • Throw away the list once everything is scheduled (it’s as good as done once it’s scheduled)

💜  a good quote…

Time is really the only capital that any human being has, and the only thing he can’t afford to lose.” —Thomas Edison

“Time is a gift that most of us take for granted. We get so caught up in the busyness of our daily lives that we rarely stop and take a serious look at how we’re spending this gift.” —Cheryl Richardson
