Stress Less

Stress is a part of life but like with most things, we need it in moderation.

If you’ve been navigating too much stress lately, below are four ways to fight against it;

  • Set realistic expectations: It’s okay to prioritize the things that matter most to you. Don’t overstretch your commitments.

  • Stick to a healthy routine: Try to set and maintain healthy eating, sleeping, and exercise routines.

  • Do something that you look forward to: Take some time and do something that you really enjoy for yourself.

  • Reach out for support: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious you can talk to a friend, family member, or therapist for support.

Question: What unrealistic expectations have you set for yourself this week? How could you make them more realistic and less stressful?

Action: Plan something in the future to look forward to like booking a trip or lunch date with a friend.

💜  a good quote…

“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” ―William James

“Stress acts as an accelerator: it will push you either forward or backward, but you choose which direction.” ―Chelsea Erieau
