Brain Breaks

A 10 minute brain break can reduce mental fatigue, while boosting your health and physical strength.

Try these tips below to make it happen;

  • Set a Timer: Create a break timer to remind you when you need to step away from your work

  • Take a Walk: A short walk is a great way to recharge in the middle of the day

  • Turn off Notifications: Remove temptation. Give your eyes and brain a break from screens

  • Play: Use play as a way to have fun during breaks (ex. crossword puzzle, craft, hobby, etc)

  • Take a Nap: Press the “off” button in the middle of the day to help resharpen your focus when you get back to it

Action: Look at your calendar next week and book a “brain break”. Have the event repeat weekly… indefinitely.
