Boredom Benefits
We often identify boredom as a negative emotion, but boredom is an ally and catalyst for action.
Here are a few boredom benefits;
Improves mental health. Taking a break helps our overloaded brains relax and alleviate stress.
Increases creativity. When the mind is given a chance to wander and daydream, it enables creativity and problem-solving.
Motivates new goals. Boredom is a signal that we’re not doing what we want to be doing and encourages us to shift to more fulfilling goals and project.
Increases self control. When we practice sitting with boredom, our ability to focus and self-regulate increase.
Don’t just do something, sit there!
