Powerful Praise
We all love to receive praise so let’s get better at giving it.
Include these elements next time you offer recognition to make it more heartfelt and meaningful;
Be Specific - Generic praise is nice but specific praise is more meaningful and direct.
Be Authentic & Genuine - Be sure you really do mean what you say (people can tell).
Don’t Wait - Share appreciation in the moment. The more time that passes, the less likely you are to tell the person
Be Intentional - Invest time and thought in the process to ensure it’s meaningful.
Be Generous - You can never share too much gratitude.
Question: When’s the last time you received meaningful praise? How did it feel?
Action: Share appreciation with someone who deserves it.
